Box Mag 30/06 build questions which Mags ?

just wondering if there was any mags like the AICS 10 & 5 shot .308 for the 30/06 bases that are specifically for shooting the 30/06 based rounds, not the .300 win mag ones.

With a dremel and some careful work you can make the 300 Win Mag mags work for a 30-06, and then you get lots of extra space in the mag to seat the bullets out long.

Remington has a magazine fed BDL I believe which holds 4 rounds of 30-06 based cartridges (270, 280, 35 Whelen, etc)

I'm working on something that will use BAR mags so I have a 20 shot bolt action rifle with a short bolt lockup rotation.

I use the 300wm AICS mags for my 30-06 with out any problem. You just need to but the special tool for adjusting the lips so they will hold the smaller diameter round.

What tool is that? I just used a pair of thin nosed vice grips.

Yeah, my smith told me you can damage the lips that way here is what he recommended.
