So I was planning on doing a box test on my vortex viper sometime soon. Just to make sure all my adjustments and mil dots are on and nothings canted.
My main question, is how can this test be done with any accuracy, when shots in general are never exactly right on.
To be more clear, with FGMM I usually get between .3-.7 MOA at 100 yards. Im confident that on almost any group Ill get atleast less than <.8. Which is good, BUT when I do the box test, and I'm .4 inches to the right. How do I know its my adjustments off and not my shooting/rifle/ammo? I know .4 inches isn't huge, but im guessing the box test it to expose minor faults in the adjustments, since I doubt quality scopes will have a HUGE variance.
Any advice on the topic would be appreciated.
