So I’ve been running the KRG bravo on my Bergara rimfire setup for about 1.5 years now and still to this day can’t get the thing to balance with the bipod off.

I have done a fair amount of modding to it to try. I have a steel bar in the T slot, steel arca rail, m lol weights on the front. The thing is still rear heavy. Curious if anyone has any tricks to make it even out in a rimfire configuration?

You have a tuner on the end? That’s an additional 6-8oz. If you have space in the forend under the barrel maybe you can add additional weight via some stick on tire balancing weights. The larger ones are 1oz each.

I had to run a 22" barrel with a tuner to get it to balance right. It's the fulcrum/leverage point. Adding all the weight that close to the balance point isn't going to have as much effect as extending weight further away from the balance point.

So if you got like an XL spigot, and put weight onto that spigot, you'd get the most bang for the buck.

I had to get the enclosed forend and add mlok weights to the very front to get my xray to balance finally, 18" vudoo so would be similar.

I have a Bravo for my Bighorn and one for my CZ457. I needed a lot of front weight on my rimfire I put lead duck decoy weights inside the forend it literally couldn't have been better. On my Bighorn it needed major ass weight so I put 6oz lead sinkers in the bottom of the grip, bag rider and also behind buttstock pad(hammered into shape). All in all just about perfect.

I've got my Bergara in a Gen 1 XLR Element chassis. With the bipod ON and a barricade block in front of the mag well I figure I need about three pounds at the far forward end of my ARCA rail/spigot to balance it just in front of the barricade block. If I remove the barricade block and move the center of gravity back about an inch and a half I can cut that down to about 1 pound - but then I don't have the barricade block. I'm on a search for some flat tire weights locally - I think the weight is what causes them to be so expensive on Amazon. Maybe not as expensive as the ones the chassis manufacturers sell, but still too expensive for my budget.

I got a 5 lb lead ingot from a plumber friend. I just need to find some sort of a mold to pour it into that will work. Just hanging the ingot on the barrel looks a little hillbilly . . .

Right now I'm shooting from a bench - bipod in front and a bag in back. So I suppose I should ask - is balance an issue when on the bench (too new at this to have enough experience) or is it just an issue shooting from barricades and such?

Think I found the solution! Vision chassis makes a forend for the krg system. Called today and they just got them in stock! It’s longer and has m lok all along the chassis like an XLR. I’ll be able to attach mlok weights out further in front to hopefully get the balance right

I have a Bergara in a Bravo. I have the t-bar weight in the fore end and the arca rail and mine balances just in front of the mag well. I may experiment with the heavy arca rail. I also run an Athlon Midas Tac 6-24x50 on it. It’s set up for NRL22 matches mostly so I really don’t want a spigot on it. I can use it for PRS Rimfire matches as I have dope out to 375 yards.

My Vudoo has the 20 inch MTU barrel. Add an Athlon Cronus Gen II and that’s already heavy. I have the heavy arca rail. T bar weight and extra long spigot in an X Ray stock to get the balance point about 2 inches in front of the mag well. I set this rifle up for ELR and it is a tank. Really fun at longer distances but a real workout in a NRL 22 match. The scope and scope rings make a difference. All that Japanese glass is heavy.

Balancing those rifles is one of the best things I have ever done.

I have a B14R in a MPA comp chassis with internal weights, side rails, side rail weights, and a EC tuner and it is still butt heavy. Anyone have any other ideas because the only thing I can think of at this point is a new barrel.

Buy da shaft weight.

Ah. Good choice then. I'm about to place an order for my 3rd envy pro and wait like the 20 weeks....
I think they are under promising and over delivering. I ordered a cerakoted Envy Pro during the holidays, told them I was in no hurry and received it 9 weeks later. I love those guys!
