Re: break in?

The break in debate is similar to a Ford VS Chevy debate, but the bottom line is you cant turn back the clock, just shoot it and enjoy. You can try some of the TUBB abrasive bullets, which have progressively finner abrasives designed to smooth out the throat and tooling marks in the barrel.

A 3/4" factory rifle is not bad

Damn-it! Now you're screwed! You better just send it to me. I'm a lousy shot anyway and having a lousy, un-broken-in rifle serves me right!

Re: break in?

The first thing that you're gonna want to do is lose the core-loks. They might be good for minute of deer but sure as hell ain't premium ammo. If you rifle is shooting sub-moa with that shit you'll be just fine. Get some match ammo and she'll almost certainly shoot better.

Re: break in?

Yup, Jeo's got it right. Get yourself some Black Hills or FGMM 175s and I'll bet you a cookie it'll do better than .75. Don't worry about the break in...as you stated, it's possible the previous owner may have done it, and it's too late to try it now. Just take good care of it and shoot away.

Re: break in?

Really?... People still drink the "Break-in" Kool-aid? I'll say this once... It's a MYTH. No Break-in necessary. Use your Google-fu to discover the truth of it...

... Try "Gale McMillan (of McMillan Bros) on barrel break-in"

If you are worrying about it, obviously you didn't read enough. Read some more.

OR

SHOOT SOME MORE and read less.
