Yesterday while shooting off a bipod, my front swing swivel snapped on my 700 remington VSSF. The stock chipped a little, and of course it broke below the surface. I haven't removed the action yet, but am looking for info on replacement, and if there's a heavier duty model available that I can replace with. Thanks.

What's attached to the bipod looks like a machine screw...(HS precision stock), but I will pull the action and see if there's an insert on the underside.

The first thing to find out is if it has a wood screw thread or an insert with a machine screw thread. I've seen both from the factory.
