Browning t-bolt: what’s it take to change calibers?

I was going to post this on rimfirecentral.com, but their browning rifle forum is sleepy.

I own a stainless t-bolt (including receiver), which is rare. You can’t just go out and buy an all-stainless t-bolt anymore.

I was thinking of switching the caliber from 17 hmr to 22 LR. How easy is it for a gunsmith to do this? What steps does he need to take?

Gentle now, I’m a noob at gunsmithy things.
