I recently bought a Ruger SBH hunter in .41 mag. I was thinking of mounting a Burris Fastfire 11 on it for next deer season. Burris makes a mount for the SBH hunter so mounting isn't an issue. I hunt in N.Y. in the Catskill mts. Shots where I hunt are usually 80 yds. max, most within 60 yds with brush and trees involved. I plan to carry a rifle for stands that present a longer shot [ over 60 or so yds. or over fields ] with the pistol for short shots. Has anyone used this sight in the field. Are their better options { red dots }out there. Opinions welcome.

my father uses one on a Blackhawk hunter and he loves it. It is quick to find when you pull it up and has a nice low profile. He has been using it for a couple of years with no issues.
