Just got my ConX. The vendor's boxing was fine. But the Bushnell packaging left me scratching my head. I would appreciate it if anyone can confirm this is how theirs came. The ConX was in an OD pouch but, and this is the part that I don't understand, it filled only half the box. And the rest of the box was empty space with no additional packaging. Half of the long direction of the box was open and empty space. There was also quite a bit of space In the short direction. The result is that the pouch could slide around quite dramatically and slam around in the box. That seems nucking futs for a precision electronic optical device. Is this really the way they do it, or could this particular box be missing some additional packaging material? Thanks.

Sorry to hear that, It Should of come in a Brown and Black Bushnell Branded BoX with all the info and pictures on it and have a matching sleeve that the Box slides in to. I could post picture but the Bushnell box is not padded or segmented and there is a little bit of room in side, It Has about a 3rd of the box Gap in it.

Hope that helps,

John.

John, it was in that box. But that box was half empty and the ConX could slide and slam around around in there.

Yeah Mate I know where ya coming from, I also thought that something was missing, The Book filled out the gap between the box and the pouch with pouch laying on it's side and the gap at the end is where the strap and the cloth was,, But there is a gap above the pouch of about an inch and a half +/-,

I guess because it is Rubber Armoured and in the pouch that they think that is enough, The G-Force came with better protection, I think with the Dealers packaging it should Ok thou. They are pretty robust so I don't think you have any thing to worry about, But like you, I do think that they could do better, Mind you the 2 sets of Leupold Bino's I bought had no room in the box and no extra padding so thank goodness that the Dealer done a top Job.

So don't worry mate, I know it does tend to "P" a person off because I really look after my stuff and every thing is like the day I got it so I even bought the Mystery Ranch pouch for mine and that is a Ball tearer of a thing solid as a rock the lid is over sized to keep out the rain and the Kestrel has it's own little compartment, But it is Molle compatible but that means no belt loops or shoulder strap.

Any ways I hope that helps, don't worry it will be fine,

take care.

John.

One and a half inches? No. Three and a half inches! One and a half between the sides and pouch. 3.5 on the end. Don't have it in front of me but the empty space was about 3.5 x 3.5 x 6 inches. Literally half the box was empty space and the thing really could shake around in there.

Ok, so they had put yours vertically in the box, mine was laying on it's side So there was very little left to right movement..

As long as that's how it is supposed to be I guess it is what it is. But strikes me as a way to ask for trouble. I suppose it beats the exploding box Brownell's shipped me.

I just received mine yesterday. It didn't have as much extra room as you described in the box but I bought the combo and the Kestrel was in a padded pouch with the tripod setup (assuming they use the same size box for both setups). Without that, though, I could see it would move around a lot. My box didn't come in a sleeve, however, and there was no documentation or lanyard for the rangefinder which I found odd. Both the ConX and Kestrel appear new, and both work like a champ, so no complaints on that. I have a Sig 2000 that works like a champ I will try to compare the two when I get a chance. I lazed a street light yesterday afternoon at almost 900yds, it returned instantly and the comeup displayed was correct for my 6.5x47 using the custom gun numbers I had entered.

Congrats on your new toy, That's a good point about the box.

I really like how the Custom Gun modes work and once that Data is in there it works like a charm and you don't need to use the phone any more, It is just a good all rounder, from a hunting point of view it is faultless.

Good luck.

John.
