My Bushnell Elite 1500 rangefinder refused to range past 550 yards at the last long range competition, Conditions were good, big reflective targets, new battery, and other rangefinders ( even other Bushnell ) would easily range to the 900 yard limit of this range. Monday morning, bright and early, off goes my rangefinder to Bushnell warranty repair service. It came back today with the repair ticket stating that it had been reprogrammed. It appears to work, and ranges to at least 650, which is the farthest object in a visual line from my shop. Has anyone else heard of reprogramming? I now wonder what caused it to need reprogramming and if it was programmed correctly to begin with. Anyone?
