Spotters Bushnell Forge 15x56 vs Vortex Kaibab 18x56

Looking at picking up one of these to use or spotting at PRS/NRL hunter matches and actual hunting use. They will see a lot of hunting use as probably my main glass to go with my Sig kilo 3000s. Has anyone looked through both and can compare or have experience with the kaibab’s? It seems the forges are pretty well respected, but if I can get a little better glass for a little extra money, I’d be willing to drop it on the kaibabs

I used kaibabs for two years and was quite happy with them. I would have been perfectly happy going forward this year with them again but had a chance to try the meoptas . I kept the meoptas since I felt the $250 difference was justified as I glass so much with the 15x.

My biggest concern is that the 18x kaibabs will be worse glass than the 15x forges and not be worth it. Meopta’s or SLCs are probably long term goals for this optic role

I have no experience with the Kaibabs, but I have two seasons behind the Forge and am a fan. Like you, I bought them as a place holder for a pair of SLCs. Others that have gotten behind my Forges usually have favorable things to say about them.
