I decided to jump on the deal Cameraland has on the LRTS 4.5-18. I had a SWFA 3-9, but couldn’t resist the sale. Sold the SWFA, but had a chance to compare them before I shipped the 3-9 off. Have to say the 3-9 is a pretty good package for hunting, but the LRTS has a few features I prefer, although there is a weight cost.
I’ve read a lot of reviews on the LRTS/LRHS, and haven’t seen anyone complain about the ruggedness/durability of these scopes. Has anyone had any issues with RTZ, tracking, or failures with these? I know there are compromises with any scope in the $1k range vs the 2-3k scopes, but overall the LRTS is perfect for my needs other than weight. If it maintains the ruggedness and durability the SWFAs are known for, I’ll be very content. Thanks for any comments.
