So I think I have limited my choice for a scope down to 3 options. Bushnell forge 3x18x50, Bushnell elite tactical LRTS 4.5x18x44 or the Vortex viper pst gen 2 5x25x50. Will be used for mid to long range shooting and possibly for competing in the future. It will be mounted on a Savage 110 tactical 6.5 creedmoor. I just cant decide which way to go so I'm looking for any pros or cons. Any advantages one might have over the other. Thanks in advance.

My expirence with Vortext viper, I had two on a 17 hmr over a summer. Both where left in the trunk for the summer as I would go to the field straight from work. Neither one made it a full summer. Both reticles came loose during a hunting night. Never again. I think the forges are close outs on Miday. That would be a cheap way to go. If you dont like it or later want to upgrade, you should not take a very big loss on it.

The Elite is on a whole different level than the Forge. I stopped at the Bushnell Outlet in KC today and looked through both thinking about getting one of the two. The Forge seemed to have a really tight FOV, or small picture, something, compared to the Elite.
