Alright, don't kill me for askin but what size Butler Creek flip-up lense covers fit the Nightforce 2.5-10X32 NXS Compact. The ones that came with it fell apart durung a match tody.

Butler Creek has a chart to fit the sizes of the caps with the sizes of the scopes. I believe its on the back of the package. Makes things much easier.

I may have to get off my ass and measure the OD of the scope. I'm in my jammies, kickin back watchin football. Thought someone would know. I have a email in to Nightforce. lazy

Hey Kevin thanks for the straight up answer. I knew everyone on here wasn't a smart ass. You are very correct, I did finally get off my butt, grabbed my CALIPERS and measured. Each is the same but butler creeks rear and objective are different, Again your numbers are right. I will contact Scott, I've bought a couple Leupolds and mounts from him and again you are right, he's a great guy. I did talk (email) with Ken Pratt, my contact at Nightforce. He is sending a replacement set but they are kinda weird screw on deals. I'll probably get the Butlers or just use a scope coat.

A few weeks back I picked up some Butler covers for a Nikon scope (went in to the store to size them). Anyway, they have a new model or type of flip cover where the base is made of a more flexible or rubbery type material as opposed to the hard plastic. It seemed like my scope was in between sizes but that flexible cap was easier to work with and a bit forgiving. Not sure if that's how they are making all the caps now or if it's an option but I'd recommend them. Don't recall what they were called but it did specifically state it on the package.

Be aware that the caps often require a bit of playing with in order to get them to fit and operate correctly. If the caps seem too tight, don't worry just yet. Dunk them in some hot water to soften them up and then slide them on. If the caps won't open without force while they are on (which happened to me recently), just take a very small dab of congealed liquid dish soap and rub it on the rim of the cap. After doing so, the caps sprung open as they should.
