Butt pad for tacticool

Re: Butt pad for tacticool

there was a thread here somewhere where the guy put a really nice butt pad on his, try the search function to see if you can call it up, i saved this one http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2039350&page=1 but i know there's a few more lurking out there.

you can always use spacers, plastic, wood, or aluminum. or modify a reg butt plate with a few bolts, a couple of anchors inbedded in the stock and a few locknut to keep it in place.

i think champion shooters has a few things that you can put on with minimal effort.

Re: Butt pad for tacticool

Sinclair have an adjustable but plate I dont know if it will suit what you want but I reckon it fits the bill look them up I'm sure they'll have something or brownells depends on how far you want to go with mounting

Re: Butt pad for tacticool

I make these ones, I've got half a dozen sitting here. Shoot me a PM if you want one.

Re: Butt pad for tacticool

Hi fellas,

sorry it's taken a while but I replied to the PM's that people sent. I'm about to finish of a batch for the Savage TRR as well in the next few weeks, they're different to the tacticool stock.

Cheers,
Greg

Re: Butt pad for tacticool

Hey mate, I'm doing them for $110 posted. I've sent quite a few to the US with no dramas so far. If they were a firearm part like a trigger or bolt or whatever it might be different but these haven't been a problem.

I know it might sound silly that the spacer costs more than the stock but they do make a big difference if you've got long arms, plus they do look pretty cool.

I'm doing them for quite a few different stocks now, B&C medalist soon, Manners T1, Savage TRR and a few others. I do a batch of them if someone wants a couple so they're not always ready to go but if I can get enough of a certain stock to make I'll knock out 10 and sit them in the drawer until they go.

I've been pretty busy trying to get my Savage AICS style chassis done plus one for a Sako 85 so I haven't had a chance to knock any up in the last couple of months. I've just finished 3 months of training for a new job so I'll have a bit more workshop time now and might fire up the big Cincinatti mill with its tool changer and get a bit more serious about having these sitting here ready to go.

Cheers,
Greg
