Buying first AI rifle; have questions…

I’m looking to buy my first AI rifle. I got to shoot a guy’s ASR rifle a couple years ago and thought it was tits. Currently load and shoot 6.5 Creedmoor, but would love to get a rifle that can switch barrels and do magnum calibers one day. I’m only buying 1 rifle/ can’t swing 2. It looks like Mile High and EuroOptic are the only places with them for sale? Both seem to have pretty limited stock right now.

I’m trying to figure out which rifle I want and it looks like the models have changed a bit since I last looked. I like the looks of the AXSA but I’m getting the feeling it’s been discontinued because I can’t find one in 6.5 Creedmoor anywhere. I shoot out to 300yds regularly- out to 1000 yds sometimes and do not compete currently. Is the AXSR what I want to be able to shoot short action and magnum? Appreciate any advice.

AXSR here.
I predominantly run 308 at matches with it but you’ll spend less than 60 seconds to swap to whatever caliber you want…from 6CM to 338NM.

You won’t regret it.

Seconding what @j-moose32 said. I've bought from both and both were perfect to work with. The ASXR is great, but I doubt you'll find one off the shelf that is set up for the short action stuff. You'll have to buy it in a magnum caliber, then also buy the short action bolt and barrel which will add $1500-2000 before you're ready to shoot 6.5 creedmoor.

I would also take a look at the AT if you just want to start with 6.5 creedmoor. You will likely be able to sell it down the road and recoup the majority of it to put toward an ASXR when you're ready to shoot magnum.

Have a few options in stock here. Can make the SRs as "no barrel options" too. With or without 308 bolt body.

I have one more AXSA here with additional magnum bolt being converted over for a SA/Mag combo rifle. 6.5 PRC and 300WSM barrel options in stock also.

Just reach out to the dealers and get them to give you a quote. That’s the only way to know what you’re actually going to pay.

Also, consider the fact that each bolt body represents more than 3 different rifles and each barrel as one rifle.

So one rifle system (axsr) could easily be 9+ rifles in one.
