Sorry it took me a bit to get these up, but as requested, here is an Atlas with a v2 upgrade:

Just an FYI to anyone looking to install one of these- use heat to loosen the locktight on the bolts. I rounded the hex heads by not doing so, adding a significant amount of time to this project.

Re: By popular demand- Atlas v2 spigot pics!

I think it is a huge upgrade as well. It allows the tension of the cant to be controlled by tension knob and gets rid of the annoying +/- 5% free cant, facilitating the use of a bubble level.

Frank- I have already had mine to the range, so I guess it is one thing I actually beat you to!

So, impressions after using for a bit: (a few hundred rounds down range,) Overall a very good design, works well, one minor issue however- when you rotate the rifle back and forth to level it, eventually it loosens up the knob. Eventually I notice it and have to tighten it back down, which is annoying because it is a long reach from prone. Because I don't need to take the bipod on and off and on and off all the time, I will probably lock tight the threads the knob rides on so that it will become a non issue.

Thanks BM!

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: drmarc</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Can a Pod Lock type arrangement be used instead of a knob? </div></div>I don't see the benefit here. The tension of the cant is controlled by the large knob underneath the bipod, the purpose of the front knob is to take out the unwanted slop in the bipod.

Re: By popular demand- Atlas v2 spigot pics!

I think he is talking about using the lever in place of the knob on the spigot to get better leverage. That way it will lock down the spigot and, hopefully, not loosen.

My v2spigot just arrived in the mail for my v8 pod from Kasey -like christmas it is in my lounge -playing and looking at my latest bit of kit-what a spectacually good bi-pod, great design and built like a brick shithouse .

Josh </div></div>Josh- I have a strong grip (think 275 weight class powerlifter,) and it is not an issue of torque. I applied some blue Locktight a few hours ago, and will be taking the rifle to the range tomorrow. I'll update post range.

Re: By popular demand- Atlas v2 spigot pics!

Glad you guys are liking them.

The only way we are shipping the BT19 (AI Spigot adapter for the BT10-NC Atlas) is with the V2 spigot.

We do not have the V2 Spigot (the round bar with tension knob) listed by itself, it is ordered by phone or mail only.

Re: By popular demand- Atlas v2 spigot pics!

Just received mine today -- v8 with the AI v2 spigot.
After rushing to put in on, I'm very satisfied. Rock solid, no play as compared to another one (initial version) that I had borrowed for a match last weekend.
Great job on this upgrade, Kasey and crew.
A very satisfied customer (at least dry firing) on the complete package. Hell, it even fits in my Storm case w/o more of my foam hack job required.
Looking forward to range time this weekend.

Re: By popular demand- Atlas v2 spigot pics!

Range report-

The locktight did the trick. No issues with the spigot lock loosening up today, everything performed admirably. I highly recommend going this route if you don't need to take your bipod on and off all of the time.

I'm glad to hear this! I just ordered a BT19 and BT10-NC a couple of days ago. It is nice to know that I will be getting the latest and greatest. I am definitely looking forward to using it.
