To start off sorry for the dumb question, but asking is how you learn. So my question is I'm looking at the Cadex field tactical chassis. I have a Remington 700 Varmint that I would like to use as a doner for the Cadex. What all is involved in this process. I assume its not as easy as removing some screws and swapping it over to the new Chassis. Thanks gentlemen.

Yes, actually, it is just that easy.
Now though, you have to deal with the adjustments that are available on that chassis. There are more than a few and it can be a little daunting to figure out what to adjust and how to really get the gun to fit you and allow a natural position. Gets even more complex if you mix up the positions for prone vs barricade vs standing.
1/4" one way or another of a couple of degrees of angle on the butt pad can make a huge difference in your comfort behind the gun and thus your shooting.
A chassis isn't going to make a damn bit of difference in the accuracy of your gun as compared to a properly bedded stock that already fits you.
That said, a good chassis can be the magic difference in your shooting once you get it right. The gun I am most consistent with has a custom action, custom trigger, custom bbl, a very nice scope and all of that sitting in an AIAX (older model) folder. It has been adjusted multiple times and I have made little shims so that I can return to my adjustments should I wish to experiment.
Oh yeah, a dope card that you can depend on and ammo that repeats are actually far more important, but you probably already know that.
