Range Report Caliber decision advice

I have a Rem700 SA donor action and stock. I want to build a barrel burner.

I need to choose between:

22 Creedmoor
6 PRC

I like the low recoil reports from the 22cm in spite of the high velocity. But the 6PRC seems like a better 1,000 and 1,500 yd option in west Texas winds.

Any advice is welcome.

The PRC requires a magnum bolt face, the 22CM does not. If you are a reloader the 22CM if not the 6.5PRC would be better for factory ammo. If you are just pushing to go farther the 6.5PRC will be a better bet.

I have a 6cm R700 trued and lapped with a Bartlein barrel in an AI chassis and it’s my primary shooter. It shoots sub MOA consistently and half MOA when I don’t have too much coffee. A smart man would just shut up and shoot it.

But I’m not smart.......

6 Creedmoor and re 17 velocity are pretty interesting, do a remage barrel. Brass is easy to find cheap
