I was ticked off when I used to have the Handgun Safety Certificate which was still valid, but CA laws changed to require a Firearms Safety Certificate, to buy a long gun. The test is basically the same questions with the certificate name changed.

I really don't know how about 1/3 of the test questions make anyone "safe"

Easy. A ballot is your first ammendment quiz in California. Dont answer all D's and you have no first ammendment right.

FWIW, If you have a Military ID the test is not required. Show your ID in place of the safety card.

Still a gay law but par for the course here in Ca....
