California Range for new shooter

Can anyone recommend a range near San Diego CA for a friend of mine. She is fairly new to shooting and I would like to have her go where she can get some help on shooting and making a good 1st handgun purchase.

If you or she hasn't already, visit www.calguns.net. They'll be able to point you in the right direction. I'm unfortunately located in northern California and don't know anything in the south.

Indoor 100 yard and indoor pistol. 5 stand, trap, archery, BP etc.

You could go to the local shooters club also for meetups.

Several here are planning a meetup for the Crossroads of the west gun show in December.
There are a lot of local shops all over that I can recommend depending on where in San Diego she will be.

In North San Diego county, my favorite store/range is iron sights in oceanside, off airport road. You can rent a few and see what she can handle comfortably.

Iron Sights in Oceanside would be my suggestion too. She can get training, try diff types of handguns and then buy whatever fits her best.

If she is in San Diego, she may want to check out Shooters Emporium. It is an indoor range, they have firearms for rent, and they offer classes.
