I enjoy the tactical look on my rifles. All my rifles are black because of this reason. I've been thinking of changing things up and doing a paint job on two of them to make them different. The first up I wanted to do a digital camo. I wanted to keep it an urban theme with blacks and grays. I found this camo design online and really like it.
Since I'm new to paint I'm afraid that the pattern will look too busy on the rifle. I was thinking of the pattern on the stock, with the darker gray base will go on the barrel as well. I'll also use the same pattern on the scope. Will that be too busy? Should it be less digital pattern?
My other idea was to keep everything black and throw a few patches of the mid gray and the urban white on the stock and scope. I stole some pics from 30cal's paint thread since I love his work (hope he doesn't mind I'm using these).
The bottom gun is closer to the color scheme but the top picture has the nice spaced out style. I really need some input from you guys on what will be the best approach here.
