Well gents, I did it again... I came home with another Enfield today. This particular specimen is a 1945 Long Branch No.4 Mk I*. It is in excellent shape as far as I can see, and is numbers matching. I tore it apart when I got her home today and cleaned all the cosmoline out of it (there was a whole lot) and she cleaned up nice. I have searched high and low and haven't found any import markings on this rifle either (unless the .303 stamp on the barrel is the import mark). There are a few stamps and cartouches that I am unfamiliar with, but I am doing the research to see what they mean. There are a couple small "S" stamped parts, which I'm sure is either an indication of a rebuild, or they were maybe leftover Savage parts sent to the Long Branch factory (they had cosmoline caked under them as well).
