Can CCI #34 be used in bolt action as Magnum?

Why wouldn’t they?

Ive used standard large rifle primers in 300 WM loads and they worked just fine.

The 34’s have a thicker cup to mitigate the risk of slam fires in semi autos (specificly the M14). Other than that they are like any other primer.

Load and go.

CCI does use the magnum mix in their #34 & #41 primers.

That’s good news. I wonder if fed 210 will work on magnum rounds also. 300 prc or 300 norma. I have 8k of 210’s.

The 210M works well with the win mag and should also with the PRC however I’m not sure about the Norma as it may require a mag primer given the amt of powder.

Have you tried them in your 338 lapua?
No I have not. Used them in the Barrett MRAD with 6.5 Creedmore. This was just a quick test of the primers, so I really didn't pay a lot of attention to cbto, and other parameters. I guess I was excited to finally be able to get my hands on some primers.

I run them in my 338 Edge, they work very well. I have also used them in my 6.5 PRC, although I think the standard Federal match 210s work better in PRC.
I’m switching from 215m to 210m in my 338 edge.
Even with a big load Of N570 ES got a bit better.

The regular rifle primer is noticeably better than any magnum primer I tried in my 7 saum.
