Can you run regular hinged non dbm bottom metal on the stiller tac .338 action so you can make a hunting rifle on this action ?

What brand bottom metal will fit ?

Yes you can run the Remington long action BDL bottom metal with it. I would suggest using the Weatherby center feed mag. box, spring and follower that Stiller also sells for that action.

Do you need a McMillan HTG that is already bedded for a stiller tac 338. It is inletted with the DBM mag, but I think you could switch to badger m4 bottom metal.

I also want one of those coffin style floor plates to acheive one more of the weatherby based .378 wm cases.

Looking at this action to do a .500 a2 carbine, so I'd like 3 down and one in the chamber.

You will need a magazine with feed lips as the action has none. We have the weatherby ones in stock.

Thanks Jerry. I reckon your Tac 338 will make a nice .500 A2.....I dont see an issue with no feed lips as the Weatherby MK5 in .460 WM works exactly the same.

I just hope its possible to get 3 rounds of .500 A2 down ??
