I'm putting together an ultralight hunting system and I'm looking for an 18-20" carbon fiber pipe to use with my BigHorn TL3 and Q SideChick chassis.

The one hang up I'm coming across is that the side chick will only accept a 1.200 shank...and most carbon fiber prefit a I'm coming across are 1.230-1.250 shank.

I'm open to caliber really, but I'd prefer an 18" shouldered prefit and I'm drawing a blank.

    Thoughts??

Proof research sendero’s are 1.200 at the shank. And the have tl3 prefits. My question is how did you get the side chick rail to mount on the tl3?
I haven't been able to track down an 18" Proof CF prefit. My understanding was 22"+ only...or perhaps 20" 6.5 Creed. I'd prefer an 18

And here's the post regarding my top rail...
It's a wicked little set up.

Just do a custom prefit, buy a proof carbon fiber blank in the length you’d like and have someone chamber it for the TL3. I’ve use LRI in the past, great work and fast then around 2-3 weeks.

If you want a one stop shop online ordering use someone like PVA or straight jacket.

If you are set on 18", a thinner profile SS barrel will weigh nearly the same. My Bartlein 2b 18" is very very close in weight and shoots as good as any of my proof carbon barrels (I have 8 carbons). The true weight savings happens from 20in and longer. I even talked to a guy at proof trying to verify and he said weight difference is negligible.
Not as cool as a carbon, but accuracy and balance won't be a huge difference.

    But can a 2b use a brake/suppressor
