Re: Carry handle scope
+1!!
Skip the carry handle mounts/optics/etc. altogether and swap the upper receiver for a flat-top/A4. Because the sight channels in the top of the handles often vary pretty widely in terms of size/shape (depth/width/etc.), there are no decent "one-size-fits-most" options. Even with an expensive optic like the ACOGs, you can run into trouble. This came up not long ago here when a member was completely out of elevation and still couldn't get zeroed with an ACOG mounted on the handle. Additionally, the carry handle mounts can work lose which causes obvious problems. Finally, getting a decent cheek weld with any optic mounted on top of a carry handle is problematic to put it mildly.
If you need a carry handle/sight setup, it is FAR better to have a detachable carry handle that you can mount on a flat-top upper when you aren't using your optics than to try to mount optics on a fixed A2 carry handle.
