Case Foam

I bought a pelican vault case a while back and cut the foam (very badly) to my previous rifle and now I have a new build and need new foam and a better cutting technique. Should I order some Kaizen foam and get it hot wired? What works best for everyone's cases?

I found replacement foam on ebay and use a real sharp fillet knife. Lay out with chalk and take your time.

You got case specific or just a big sheet?
First attempt was with electric fillet knife, works well until you hit corners and turns

i've bought precut inerts for a case, and then cut them myself. you can get knives with thin blades for this.

Unfortunately dont see my case. I know the stiffness of Kaizen is far superior to the original pelican foam though so I will probably just order some sheets from amazon and cut to fit, then cut to gun.

I’ve never personally used their services but my wife’s cousin recommended this place to me. He said you take a picture of everything laid out how you want it in the case and send a few measurements, they’ll cut and send the foam. Badabingbadaboom

I'll have to check them out too, preciate it.

It was case specific for the pelican 1750. Just had to buy the middle sheet as I hadn’t cut the top or bottom.
