So I was going to start reloading a batch of .260 Rem and went to borrow a friends case length guage.
He told me he was getting ready to load also, that he needed it and suggested I use my .308 case length guage,it would work fine......
Does that sound right???
If I resize brass and it will chamber smoothly,I'm good to go right?
Input welcome as always.

Are you referring to the hornady headspace gauge? That is really useful for determining how much you are sizing and how much the case is expanding after firing, but not necessary to load ammo. You can most likely use the .308 version for that purpose. OR, are you talking about the oal case gauge for use with the modified case? In which situation the .308 version could possibly work, but the reading may not be as accurate as possible, as the bullet would move side to side.
