Can a case be too short? I was trimming necks on a bunch of brass I inherited. I was following the guidelines for a trim to length of 1.902". I found a couple cases that were as short as 1.895". All appeared at least 1x fired. I don't have an unfired piece of new brass to compare to so I dont know what the virgin length is. All my reloading manuals have a maximum length and a trim to length, none mention a minimum length. Are these shorties safe to reload if they are otherwise in good condition? 7/1000 doesn't seem like much but I thought I had better ask as I am new to the reloading game.

thanks

No problem, go ahead and shoot them. If the truth be known, the manufacturer probably found out they could cut cost by making the necks a little shorter
