Anybody have problems using cast bullets(Lazer cast 124 g RN) with Glocks?

I,ve run thousands of SNS coated in 9mm in Glocks with no issue. Haven,t used Lazer Cast bullets.

Thousands and thousands of home cast down the pipe of a few glocks- no problem. Mine are powder coated so treat them like plated. As with any cast boolits fit is king, and alloy compatible with the FPS you are seeking- poor fit to hard to soft wrong lube will make a mess of any bore Glock or otherwise.

I head a home made lead cast 9mm round ball get swedged in a Glock barrel once. Luckily was shooting steel and didn’t hear an impact.

I was just looking into casting 9mm for my Glock 19 gen 5. Does the coating add any thickness that I would need to be aware of before loading? What mold do you use? Would you say it's worth the savings, or just something to do if you enjoy it?

Savings in reloading and casting- yes yea that’s exactly the reason ! Yes the PC adds diameter that needs to be sized- I size mine at .357 , just a Lee push through style sizer die. I’ve both a Lee mold and very nice brass one from MP molds in Slavonia.

Why would you or anyone use uncoated cast bullets in this day and age?

Because they like to be poisoned, when you lick you fingers after lunch and they still taste sweet...that lead

No I’ve not used nor would recommend the laser cast, IIRC they are sized to .356 and the blue hard lube in the lube grove isn’t sufficient for factory Glock barrels. Just my findings others mileage / experience may differ.

I ran 9mm cast lead bullets in a Glock for a long time until I got tired of the smoke. They ran fine, no problems with leading. Cleaned the barrel every 300-500 rounds. Now I shoot copper plated to reduce the smoke from the lube.

Another reason for powder coating- no stinky lube smoke of sticky lube mess. Shake and bake baby!

No 9mm experience, but cast bullets are all I shoot out of my Glock 20 and they work flawlessly.

if you reload, consider a fully supported aftermarket barrel to save the brass... that glock bulge really stresses the brass

I cast and shot a few thousand rounds through my competition Glock and never had an issue.
