CCI 40gr. HP in Bentz chamber?

Do the CCI 40 gr. HP Subsonics work in the Bentz chamber? The bullet is quite long and they don't fit well in my precision boltgun's chamber, but I really like them for hunting. Especially the new segmented ones. I know you can't use Stingers in a Bentz.

Shopping for a 10/22 bbl, and that is a consideration.

i suspect you will have probs with those , i find very few rifles , even cheap ones with loose chambers that will feed these bullets well , always hard to close the bolt and cant eject loaded rounds . also had them go super sonic in a few rifles . sucks cause they seem to be very acc and hit hard

You will have problems with teh CCI Subsonic HP's in a Bentz chamber. I have tried them pleny of times in my 10/22 and never had any luck. I would have to tap the charging handle a few times to get them in the chamber far enough and even then the next round would not seat all the way, causing a malfunction.

I would look for the Winchester Subsonic HP's. They are 40 grain as well but don't have the driving band on the buillet as high as the CCI's. They seem to be reasonably close to CCI as far as accuracy goes and also hit really hard for a 22lr.

The Win. rounds work ok, but nothing like the segmented CCIs.

The segmented subsonics are different than what I was talking about. I had some segmented ones a year or so ago and never really tested them with a 10/22, they might actually work. The ones I was referring to was the regular CCI subsonic HP's (non segmented). The segmented ones shot great out of my bolt guns and they did hit really hard compared to most other rounds.

The segmented are the same profile. I took one apart, they are segmented along the outside. My guess is that they segment the lead wire on the spool and then feed into the existing equipment.
