I wish people would understand that the whole point about a Multi-Caliber is to maintain the point of impact. Take any QD system on the market using a clamping system as your describe and you'll find out very fast that they all come back within 1 MOA. i.e. One MOA on a 338 Lapua means 15" of margins of error at 1500m...
Our system is as close as perfection and maintains a ZERO shipf of POI between barrel changes of the same barrel. While the AI user is still trying to figure out how much variation between the last zero he's dealing with, the Cadex guy is bang on on the target as the last time he installed this barrel...
A barrel change on a Kraken can be done within 2.5 minutes when you are used to it so other than carrying the tools in your hard case the increased long distance performance is way more important than the tooling issue you describe.
P.S.: For the last two years our CEO has been wiling to put a 50 000$ bet against ANY multi-caliber system on the market that can do better than our Kraken at long distance. It shows how much we are confident that we have the most efficient quick-detach barrel change system on the market.
We'll let the gun do the talking...
