Center dot size at 1000 yards

Is there a formula used to figure out how big my center dot would be at 1000 yards? Looking at a March FX Tactical with the PDKI reticle and it shows a .075 mil center dot on 40X power, Trying to figure out how big that dot will be at different ranges and different powers, New to mils and trying to learn, Thx...R

1 Mil at 100 yards is 3.6", multiply by 10 for 1000 that gets you 36". Now 36 x .075 = 2.7"

That's kind of what I was thinking but wasn't sure, Thx...R
