Got out today to shoot for the first time in over two months. Not counting my daily air pistol training in the back yard. Like many on here I’ve made a few acquisitions during those two months. So this morning part of the excitement about ranges reopening was picking which new rifle/caliber to shoot.
I Got the Seekings 6.5PRC setup with an Area 419 Hellfire brake and a PX aquired Athlon Ares in aa Spuhr mou t setup. It needed zeroing for a class in two weeks so I decidd ri take it out with a couple boxes of Hornady Match ammo.
Zeroed at 50 Yards first. Had it dialed in three shots but couldn’t figure out how to get the elevation to drop below zero. Forgot that since it was a used sco it was already Zeroed to last owners’ rifle and not factory. Ended up having to hold About 1.5 mil for elevation due to my slowness.
Got it sorted out with YouTube later.
Rifle shoots well. No kick. Loud as hell with even two layers of ear pro.
Best 90 minutes of the last two months. Hopefully can get back over there tomorrow.
