I'm going to have a barreled action and bottom metal cerakoted.
I'm sort of leaning to the sniper gray finish but have never seen it in person on a complete rife . Second choice is milspec OD green. 3rd choice is FDE.

Who has had their entire rifle metal cerakoted in sniper gray ?
If possible please post a pic of it.

Thanks

I have seen some done in the grey color and its a kind of flat, non descriptor grey. OD green looks good and so does FDE. Matching the colors to whatever is on your stock. Here is a quick pic off the ole' Google.

I personally feel OD green and FDE are both over-used (despite having AR's in both colors). Having said that, it doesn't leave very many options that don't look like shit.

I think you may be onto something with this sniper gray thing

Thanks that does look kind of flat , not bad though.
My stock right now is a black HS precision and I don't think I'll be changing it out for a little while.

And you're right about the milspec OD green cerakote.
I've seen both of the OD green colors they offer on rifles.
The milspec OD looked a little darker. I liked it.

The "Patriot brown" really looks good with black trim. Look up some of Mark Gordon's recent work @ Short Action Customs. CKruse

Sniper Gray is a great color, but can be made look very different with different ratios of hardener to paint. Also, the more hardener you add, the glossier the finish. This is also true with any of the flats.
