Thought this was a interesting tool. Does any of the major barrel makers use this?

Looks neat, and expensive. Another data point indicating a polished surface works just fine, and a texture need not be left in place or applied to a chamber for it to function.

No need for this. I carefully use scotchbrite pads and 600+ grit sandpaper on a dowel.

No, I’m not a gunsmith, but I’ve chambered a few barrels and they all shoot very well.

Ive used the ole dowel with 3m scotch brite for a good amount of years. Cool tools though for sure

ive done some work putting mirror finishes on the chambers of my smallbore rifles after chambering......

essentially we were cutting the chambers undersized, and polishing them to final spec....

we were doing so to see if there were any accuracy benefit.....there wasnt.

also didnt note any difference with ease of ejection either.....mainly because we werent having any ejection issues with a standard (unpolished) chamber. either...

didnt hurt anything.....didnt help anything either....havent polished a chamber since....a good sharp chamber reamer is all you need.
