Gunsmithing Changing the barrel on a rem 700

I just bought a factory take off barrel to replace my sporter barrel my rifle came with.
Can I do the job my self or would it be better just to take it to a gunsmith?

Unless you have the tools, gauges and know how to do it right, take it to a professional.
