Looking at building a custom 6 creed (4 kids) switch barrel and 300 wsm (4 me) on LA. Was going to use a Manners CS until I seen lead times and can’t find one on sale for a LA. So next step is a chassis. Which I know zero about. I want top of line components on this build so any advice would be awesome. Needs to be able to adjust LOP from 6-10 yr old size to adult. Like AR style. Anyone know of something that would fit the bill? Any to stay away from?
Thanks!

The Manners CS stock is the only thing I've found to do the job well. It gets down small enough for my 5 year old to actually be able to use it. Chassis just don't go short enough on the LOP. We tried AR style stocks for the kids and it was not ideal.

xlr element or mdt lss
This ^^^^. Built my kid an LSS when he was little, and was able to adjust it to fit him perfectly. IMO enough adjustment for small marksmen.
Put a kids stock on it now, and switch it out later so it can grow with him.

Although, I agree that a fitted manners is probably better if money is no object, but a chassis can be adjusted as they grow and still get shot rather than a very expensive gun that sits in the safe and only get used as a hand-me-down. If you have a bunch of kids that may make sense. Otherwise not so much...

First “kid” rifle I took a wood stock I had and chopped it up with a saw in the basement.

A few hours of cutting, sandpaper and some stain I had from a million years ago on a Saturday afternoon and it fit and looked great. Free as well. ..and I’m by no means a wood worker lol.

It’s not just the “length” chassis are weighted differently. I got the balance better by cutting some relief holes in the forearm.

I did an mpa with the short buttstock and molded a custom grip to put my sons hand in the correct position. LOP is about 1" long for now but it works good. I considered the Lss and xlr because they seemed like very good options but I already had an MPA to use

I have both an LSS-XL and an ACC Premier with the short buttstock and no folder.

Look at the Buttstock section on the MDT site it gives you the minimum and maximum LOP with different chassis.

I’m not a fan of AR style buttstocks on precision rifles.

I used an ARC Xylo and removed the butt pad entirely for my sons. When it's collapsed down both of my boys could handle it properly by the time they were 6-7
You beat me to it. +1 on the adjustableility of this stock. Can go down short and cheack adjustable quickly. May be a litle on heavy side if have to carry very far.

I built my daughters on a MDT LSS XL with the carbine attachment.
Worked well at age 10 (3 yrs ago now)

Used a Luth AR MBA 3 with adj cheek.

A decent option for the buttstock now would be the Magpul DT PR with a cheek riser (what she has on her AR).

She loves the chassis and grip (MDT adjustable) and while she could go with something else, she really likes it.
