Hey I was wondering if anyone knows of a decent place in SoCal orange county area that has a decent FFL charges for an AR15.

My local shops said the cheapest they would do is $130 just on their side and look to add another $100 on spikes tactical to swap FFL numbers...

That seems a little high to me. But then again this is my first ar buy. My buddy said there was a place that did it for $50 both sides but I gave them a call and they don't do business with the company Im lookin to get.

I only really know of the 3 local shops in my area so if anyone knows of a place I can get a spikes tactical m4 carbine shipped to with a fair FFL and dros fee please let me know..

Also if a dealer and the company already have each others FFL numbers is it cheaper than with a company that hasn't already swapped FFL numbers?

Why not ask your dealer how much they can sell you the gun for if they order it for you from ST?

Most mfgs have dealer discounts, and since they won't have to keep the gun in stock waiting for a buyer, the markup may be reasonable. There won't be a transfer fee.

Your problem is the red tape your state requires, and that your dealer also has you somewhat over a barrel.

Dealer loyalty can reduce markup, and grease the skids; this relationship takes time to develop.

Given the help and advice I've received over the years from my main guy, I don't have any problems paying a premium on some items and accessories.

It really depends on where in socal you are located.

My goto place for Out of state FFL Transfers is OC Armory. So if spikes doesn't make it california compliant you can have them ship the complete lower to the FFL and ship the upper to you. It will then up to you to add a 'bullet button' or make it featureless before you assemble it. I believe their stripped receiver price is the same for a complete ar lower receiver as well.

The following is from their website.

Firearms Transfers:

* Pistols- $45 + DROS* fees
* Rifles- $55 + DROS* fees
* Stripped Receivers- $35 + DROS* fees
* NFA transfers- $100+DROS* fees
* There is a $10 fee for each additional receiver, received from the same shipper.
