im looking into buying a cheap m9 clone as soon as i can afford. along with a 700 remy, long range AR upper, carbine AR upper etc. etc. anyways i think taurus is a good way to go just because its a bit cheaper than a beretta. i havent found much of anything else.

Re: cheap m9?

If you want something most like an M9 on the cheap, then a police trade-in 92fs is the way to go. Technically the Taurus PT92 is quite different from the modern Beretta because the safety is still on the frame (where it should be IMO) instead of on the slide. Shame the U.S. military made Beretta change it.

You should try both though. You might decide that you like the frame mounted safety better.

check gunbroker. a bit ago there was someone selling trade in Beretta 92's and Hi-Powers. I know the HP were Belgians form Israel. I think the 92's were from Italy. Both were pretty cheap

What they all said. Theres a local LE supply that gets trade ins here all the time. Check online dealers and have it shipped to your dealer.
