So I got tired of using my expensive primary phone when I’m at the range for my ballistic calculators and other apps so I bought a cheap Samsung android-based pre-paid phone from Walmart for $49 seems to work great so far. Funny how they want $1000 for a new galaxy or iPhone and this cheap $49 phone will do pretty much the same thing. Anybody else do this?

Not that anybody seemed to care, but the phone I meant to buy was the Samsung Galaxy J7 Sky Pro for $99.00 the guy at Wal-Mart gave me the wrong phone this one has the screen size about as big as the iPhone Plus and it has been working like a champ why I have been paying a $1K for iPhones is beyond me from now on I will be using these cheaper phones that don't have all the latest bells and whistles for a 1/10th the price.

If you want to carry 2 devices, that's a great idea.
However if you are already carrying your primary cell phone everywhere, you could just use that instead and save a bit of hassle.
As to the price structure on phones, it similar to why one person will buy a RPR and someone else will buy an AXMC

I use Verizon prepaid since I got tired of contracts and the hidden fee crap. I have a $75 Motorola e4 that does everything all the high dollar ones do. Plus I'm hard on phones. Doesn't hurt as much when you crack the screen when you only paid $75. Plus the battery life is amazing, literally lasts over a day. So until I get a kestrel this will continue to serve as my ballistic calculator. I run ballisticARC.

Also as I stated in another post the Sig Kilo app seems to sync much faster on the Samsung and when finished it says that it has synchronised successfully unlike on the iPhone where the icon just stops spinning and leaves you wondering if it actually did also on the Hud screen it actually shows the name of the current rifle profile you are using. I like it much better on the Samsung.

    So lead me on please.
Are we activating service or just running it stand alone without to run aps?
Can i run it on wifi to load aps and maybe blue tooth my current aps from my primary?

It may have nothing to do with the slowness of the application, but assuming you have an iphone 6 or 7, have you taken Apple up on the cheap battery replacement offer?

It's a well known issue now that the Apple iOS software deliberately slows down the performance on the iPhone, (sometimes quite dramatically) when the battery is starting to reach the end of it's life (often within 2 years or less) so the customer doesn't notice their phone battery going dead quicker than normal.

Putting in a new battery, updating the iOS and forcing it into performance mode, can often make your iphone feel all nice and fast again.

Yes I activated the service with a pre paid $50 refill card, but you don't have to activate the cell service to run the apps or use WiFi. If you have a Google Play Store account you can login with your previous account. For paid apps I am not sure how many devices they allow you to have it on at one time, but any free app will load no problem.
