I have seen a few brands out there. Larue, Blackhawk.... But, I was thinking more along the lines of a neoprene type like the Leatherman Accu Riser. That brand seems to be for L or R applications but I'm wanting something more ambidextrous. Does anyone know of a product already out there or should I just male it myself?

Re: Cheek pad for A2 stock?

Whatever you decide on, you will have to find something that you can attach far enough back on the stock so as not to interfere with the operation of the CH.

I have seen "universal" type pads at local gun shows, Knob Creek, etc. Basically, it is a neoprene rubber (or similar) material with some sort of 3M backing that you peel and stick onto the stock. You can achieve the same thing by going cheap with some 100mph tape and some old mousepads (there is a "How To" thread around here somewhere with more info, but its easy as hell...ugly as hell...but cheap and easy). Just use enough layers of pads to get to the height you need, them tape them down.

Also, there are some products out there from Pachmayr, Kick Eez, and others that are universal type stick on pads. Go to MidwayUSA and run a search for "Cheek Eez" and "Pac-skin" and see what you think.

The pac skin has no mention of thickness. I need a good 3/8" to get proper cheek weld which leads me to the DIY route. Maybe I can sweet talk that Korean lady at the laundrymat.
