I'm in the process of getting a Remington 700 ss 5r. I like the Trijicon accupoint 5-20x50 with mildot reticle; however, I like to shoot from the prone position. With a scope with a 50 mm opening you have to mount it higher on the rifle. Therefore, I have to crane my neck up to look through it when firing from the prone. So my question is can I purchase an cheek rest for the R700 ss 5r or should I consider purchasing a scope with a smaller diameter (say 40 mm)? I'm open to any suggestions (even if it's on a different scope). Thanks!
