I’ve got a 6.5 CM barrelled action coming, but the seller is keeping the brake. What do I need to consider when choosing a brake for PRS style shooting? Seems like Ryan Pierce, Area 419 and Insite seem to be the top of the heap, but coming from FTR and hunting, this is all new to me.

Bighorn TL3 in a McMillan A5 chambering is 6.5 Creedmoor with a ZRODelta Cowl Induction Muzzle Brake that gives us a massive reduction in recoil and muzzle jump. This video is to show how smooth of a shooter this cartridge (6.5 CM) is with this muzzle brake (ZRODelta CIB). "How much recoil and muzzle jump reduction do these brakes have?". Even though this video does not show a before and after, it gives you a quick view of the product's potential.

None of these videos are me shooting.

One is my brother whom just started shooting and another is a Marine that got medically retired for losing a lung!

Things to consider are

recoil reduction
how well you stay on target and spot impacts
muzzle blast

Apa, area419, piercision i don't think you will go wrong with any of them

take this chart with a grain of salt but it gives you an idea what people are running. this survey was from the 2017 prs finale

I have had 419, and currently have a little bastard and pva jetblast.

The little bastard was noticeably better for me personally. They will all work very well though.
