Range Report Chrono 308 x2 and 204

I did a little velocity checking to day. My 24 inch ar-15 in 204 Ruger went 3,850 fps with a 32 v-max over 28 grains of IMR 8208 XBR. standard CCI primer, Win cases.
Next and a little disapointing was my 20 inch heavy Rem SPS tactical in 308. 155 a-max over 46.5 Varget went just at 2700 fps. while the same load in dad's Howa 24 inch 308 went almost 2900 fps. The 204 and sps tactical both group very well so I don't see me changing the loads much but might play with some others when I get time.

Forgot to mention this was a pretty warm day in the low 90's with ammo at ambient temp.
