Civil unrest food porn

So my oh-so-smart wife saw the price of lobster drop to the floor when the Coronavirus shutdown began and all the restaurants closed. Restaurant suppliers needed to dump inventory so she bought several cases of tails for about the same price per pound as chicken.

The cooked tails were cut up and mixed in a butter/mozzarella/cilantro cream sauce served on a toasted Artisan roll. BOOM! LOBSTER SLIDERS! Sheltering at home amid Covid-19 & insane looting-arson "protests" doesn't seem so bad tonight.

Cilantro can go fuck off, but otherwise those look incredibly tasty.

The first ones also had cubed avocado in em but I ate em instead of taking photos. We use these rolls.

This is the one benefit of living in a southern CA beach town. Actually I take that back, there may be a second one.

We grilled enough tails for four and then two didn't show. The next day I had 15 minutes for lunch...cutting em into smaller pieces made it possible to warm em up quickly in the cream sauce. Frankly we've eaten tails with bargain priced filet mignon so many times we're desperate to find new ideas.

Spicy Lobstero Tacos was one.

Paper plates are a timesaver that make clean-up a breeze. Ah the struggles of home sheltering.
