Clamp on Exhaust Brake? Helping recoil on AR10T?

Hey guys is there a clamp on exhaust brake for an AR10T? It is the stainless 20" barrel from wilson. I am interested at helping cut the recoil on this thing so I can manage it better to help me be more accurate. Or should I just go with a threaded one?

any suggestions on the exhaust brake or recoil reducing things I can do? thanks for the help!

Send your upper to a smith to get threaded 5/8X24 tpi. Lots of options for brakes. Seen lots of clamp on ones get struck by a round and go sailing into the sunset. They were popular during the ban era when when exposeable threads on barrels were a no no... these days there is no good reason no to.

I've heard of gas operated guns before.
But diesel?
I'd personally stock with a Jacobs. Great sound. Just don't leave it on in city limits around here. The popo will give ya a ticket.

Steve at ADCO does an excellent job on AR-10T barrel threading (you definitely want 5/8x24 threading). I have had him do the same for me so that I could put a can on mine. He charges around $65 for the barrel threading work, plus actual return shipping. There is an extra charge for disassembly/reassembly of your upper if you send more than just the barrel.

You can then chose the brake that best suits your particular needs in terms of recoil reduction...they are a ton of options.

my first suggestion is to work on the software problem before
you buy hardware.

I have a break in video on my site of my doing a 20 round mag dump on a 8" steel plate at 100 yards. The barrel is threaded, but I didn't have he brake installed. If you are straight behind the rifle and load it properly then you can keep it on target.

Now a brake DOES have merit on a .308 for when you can't get straigt behind the rifle. Frequently I have to shoot in modified positions. A brake will reduce the amount of adjustment j have to do after firing a shot.
