Have a skunk problem so I pulled out the OLD integral Ruger MKII. Hasn't had any attention in a long time. Ran a few rounds through it and was a little sluggish. Needed a good cleaning. Decided to go ahead and disassemble the suppressor. Crap, lots of hard carbon/lead. The baffles are hard coat anodize but another rear chamber sleeve is not.

Looking for information on best way to clean the baffles. Soak in a solution or I have read that some are soda blasting.

I don't really like the blasting due to lead dust issues but I guess I am open.

I have seen the Simple Green HD Pro for airplanes mentioned, found Breakthrough Clean that says it is OK to use on AL. If you are soaking in the Simple Green are you using full strength or diluted (what ratio?)

I am sure there are other solutions.
Thanks

I just recently picked up my Rugged Mustang. I took it out and put about a hundred rounds thru it. Later I took it all apart, sprayed the baffles down with CLP , let it sit, and wiped them all down.
They didn't have any buildup, I am also wanting to find out what others use on aluminum baffles n components to clean carbon buildup.
