Hunting & Fishing Cleaning and Sighting

Where (or who) is the best place in or around the Houston, TX area to take my 30-30 in for cleaning and sighting. Yes, I know....cleaning is a no brainer and I should do it myself, however, due to time constraints I am not able to do it myself. I have not been hunting in 25 years and I am using a gun that has not been out of a gun safe in almost as many years. I need it done right. Suggestions?

Someone sighting in your rifle doesn't mean it will be sighted in for you.

The above suggestions are both correct and pertinent. If you dont have the time to sight in and clean your own rifle, then surely you haven't the time to practice enough to become proficient enough to humanely take an animal, much less the time required to actually hunt one.

You really should put time in at the range to learn you own rifle and know where the bullet is going to hit when YOU pull the trigger!

Hunting in Texas, you will likely be sitting in a box looking out over a corn feeder positioned at a measured distance. Your targets will be calm, at a modest and known distance, and you will have a rest for the gun. Given the above, a sight in job from a gun shop is more than sufficient to get the job done. Call around and I am sure you will be able to find a shop that will do it for you. Off of the top of my head, I would try Carter's country and collectors firearms. If you cannot find anyone to do it, pm me and I will do it for you.
