CMP Vintage Sniper Rifle match

A few of us here in Cody are trying to gear up for the CMP matches to be held here in Sept. One item either not in the online rules/course of fire, or that we overlooked, is the targets used. Anyone here already shot the match that can answer that question? We want to practice on the correct target!

For 300 yards, it's the SR-3, and the MR-1 at 600.

It looks like a blast! We already shoot a precision/practical match each month and hope to get enough interest in the vintage rifles to either put them side by side with the open rifles or have a class of their own.

I wish you guys the best of luck. I shot my first one last summer at the closest range that held one, which was still almost a four hour drive, each way. I'm not complaining, though. It was worth every minute and I got to shoot some vintage service rifle matches there, too. We're hoping there will be even more people this year, which may happen, as this seems to be growing in popularity. It's great to see more clubs hosting such events.

If anyone is interested, I'm putting on a CMP Clinic/GSM match on June 15 and Aug 10th, here in Newcastle. The Clinic and GSM match will be santioned by the CMP,

BUT: To gear up for the CMP Games in Cody, I'm going to have an un-scantioned Vintage Sniper Rifle Match both days.

I'll post more as soon as I get the Clinic/Matches Santioned.

Kraig- There will be one or two of us here in Cody that would be interested in the clinic. I'll be able to verify for sure once you have details.
